Office 365 SharePoint Usability

Speaking at SharePoint Saturday Twin Cities #SPSTC

I’m very excited to be speaking at SharePoint Saturday Twin Cities this Saturday, November 22 in Bloomington, Minnesota.

When I first heard that it was scheduled for the end of November this year, I wondered what I was getting myself into.  Even though they got a lot of snow in the past couple of weeks, it turns out the weather won’t be that bad this weekend in Bloomington.  At least at the moment it appears there won’t be any new snow (fingers crossed!).

It looks like there are a lot of great speakers as well as some great sessions lined up.  My session falls into the UX (user experience) track and is scheduled for 9:30 am:

25 Usability Tips for SharePoint 2013/SharePoint Online Sites
SharePoint sites out of the box have the capability of being user-friendly, but only if they are designed and configured that way. Wendy shows you 25 simple tips and tricks that site owners or front end SharePoint developers can implement on their SharePoint sites to make them more user-friendly. From navigation best practices, to forms etiquette, to what to put on the home page, to graphics optimization, and much more – you will come away armed with a list of practical usability tips that are easy to implement, and your users will thank you.

If you are attending SPSTC, I hope you can make it to my session.  I’ll also be hanging out at the McGladrey booth throughout the day so stop by and say “hi” if you get the chance.
