I’m very excited and thrilled to be speaking at the Collab365 Summit global online conference held on May 10-12, 2016.
The Summit will be streamed live from Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, and includes a wide variety of topics related to SharePoint, Azure, and Office 365. The conference is completely free to attendees, and you can still register here if you haven’t already.
There will be live as well as pre-recorded sessions throughout the conference. My session will be pre-recorded, and will be aired at 6:00 pm eastern on Thursday, May 12. Since it’s pre-recorded, this means I’ll be able to answer your questions live in the chat room as it’s streaming!
Since my usability session at last year’s Collab365 conference was the top session of the conference, I’ll be presenting another session geared around usability in SharePoint. See below for the abstract:
Session Title: How to create user-friendly, engaging SharePoint sites (no coding needed!)
Session Type: Business
Session Detail: Take your SharePoint site from the standard out-of-the-box configuration to a highly usable, functional, and productive application in just a few steps. It’s easy to create a new SharePoint site – a few button clicks and you’re done, right? Wrong! If you want to fully engage your users, you’ll need to add a few enhancements. Wendy will share her most crucial usability tips that no SharePoint site should be without, and walk you through applying them to your site. At the end of the session, you will clearly see how the user experience can be greatly enhanced by applying a few simple tricks.
Topics Covered: Adoption, Office 365, SharePoint, Sites & Portals
In this session you will learn:
1) The importance of a great user experience in driving adoption
2) Common causes of frustration for website users
3) Understanding the limitations of the standard SharePoint user interface
4) How to implement a few tricks to greatly improve the usability of your SharePoint site
Audience Experience Level: 200
Target Audience: Business Users & Analysts, Developers, Power Users
I hope to “see” you there!
